LESSON I

The white bear lives in the cold North.

Seals live in the water of the frozen seas.

The prince landed in Ceylon on New Year's morning.

Bombay is a large city on the West Coast of India.

The goat has a long beard and long horns.

Small bells are hung round the neck of the goat.

A young goat is called a kid.

Every Indian boy knows the plantain tree with its nice, soft and sweet fruit.

At one time there were many things in India.

There is a hawk high up in the sky.

Most boys have something made of silk.

১। অনুবাদ কর।

২। কর্তার বচন অনুসারে ক্রিয়ার বচনে যে পার্থক্য হয় তাহা উল্লিখিত উদাহরণ হইতে ছাত্রদিগকে বাহির করিতে হইবে। কেবল present and present perfect tense-এ এই পার্থক্য বুঝা যায়।

অতীত ও ভবিষ্যৎ কালে সাধারণত বুঝা যায় না। tense বদলাইয়া বুঝাইতে হইবে।

৩। Conversation –

Who landed? The prince landed. Did the prince land? Yes, the prince landed. Where did the prince land? The prince landed in Ceylon. Did the prince land in Java? No, the prince did not land in Java; the prince landed in Ceylon. When did the prince land? The prince landed in New Year's morning.
